Charity Donations- Breast, Prostate & MS

2018

This year at the steak night on Thursday May. 10, 2018 we will yet again be working hard to raise funds. From all the donations and people coming out we will contribute this year to MS Research.

2017 Prostate Donation

In the beginning of April 2018, Colleen Hattie-Nahorniak, Gino Nahorniak, & Brooklyn Nahorniak ( Dylan’s parents and now 9 year old daughter ) presented the cheque from the 7th Annual Dylan Nahorniak Memorial Tournament to The Leslie and Irene Dube Urology Centre of Health. Dylan was most definately there in spirit.

Prostate Cancer Campaign 2014

It feels great to give back! And this year, we have organized events during the tournament to fundraise for prostate cancer. The committee would like to announce that this years donations will be presented at the Rock 102’s Caged for the Cure Campaign. On May. 22 we will present the cheque of all the donations we collect from the tournament to the campaign in hopes that we can make a difference as this cancer is the most common cancer to afflict men. As, 1 in 6 Canadian men will be diagnosed with this in their lifetime.

Breast Cancer Campaign 2013

We raised $2,160 for the C95 Breast Cancer Research Campaign. A BIG thanks to Brooks for shaving & donating his hair for such a great cause. And a thank you to everyone who donated!

Brooks is a member of the Stallions baseball team and was a good friend of Dylan’s. He has not cut his hair since the accident in Sept of 2010!!!! (You can imagine)

He has decided to raise money by cutting his hair for the Rawlco Radio marathon in October. His personal goal to reach in order for him to shave his head of hair off is $3,000.

But that’s not all! Brooks also has, a bushy mustache and beard, and he will be raising money for prostate cancer. Than in Movember if he reaches his goal of a $1,000 he will shave that off too!

To help Brooks reach his money goals, and help support two great causes dear to our hearts, we will collect donations starting at the tournament until the fundraising events take place. Donations can be made at:
